Picture vehicles. American cars with strong on-screen presence – Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet, GMC, Ford, Dodge RAM, Jeep, Lincoln, US-spec Toyota Tundra and Tacoma, Hummer. Left-hand drive. Period and modified vehicles arranged on consultation.

Production microbuses (25 and 29 seats). Three units available at ¥160,000 + tax per month, per unit. Competitive for long filming seasons in Japan. Seasonal demand is high, so early reservation is strongly recommended.

Action and special effects vehicles. Prepared for explosion scenes, bullet-hole effects and damage modification. Arranged case by case, with safety and compliance handled together with the production.

How we quote. Vehicle rates are quoted per production rather than from a fixed list, because a car driven on sealed roads in Sapporo and a truck worked off-road in the mountains are not the same job. We look at vehicle type and quantity, duration, where it will be driven, what it will actually be used for, who drives it, delivery and recovery distance, and the insurance and damage terms those conditions require.

Tell us what the vehicle has to do and we will quote it properly the first time. We would rather price the real job than give you a low number and revise it later.

All rates are quoted and invoiced in Japanese yen. As a rough guide, ¥160,000 is approximately US$1,000 – please check the current rate.

Not every production is a film.

In September 2026 we supplied three left-hand-drive pickup trucks to a United States aerospace company conducting stratospheric operations in northern Hokkaido. Two Toyota Tundras and a Ford F-150 Raptor were provided for a twelve-day deployment, carrying equipment and personnel over unpaved terrain, each fitted with an ETC unit and card, and insured for off-road use.

If your team is coming to Hokkaido for research, survey, expedition, corporate or event work and needs capable vehicles with English-language support, we can help. Tell us what you need to do rather than what vehicle you think you need, and we will work it out with you.

We are a dealership first. That gives productions two options a rental company cannot offer.

Sourcing to order. If your schedule allows lead time, tell us the vehicle you want – a specific model, year, colour or specification – and we will source it, prepare it and rent it to you. You are not limited to whatever happens to be on our lot.

Purchase with appraisal buy-back. On long projects, renting stops making sense. If you need a vehicle for six months or more, buying it outright is almost always cheaper. We can sell you the vehicle, and when the production ends we appraise its condition and take it back. You pay for the value you used, not a daily rate for half a year.

We have done both for productions working in Japan. If you are not sure which structure fits your schedule and budget, ask us – we will tell you honestly which one costs you less.

For long-term work we provide insurance appropriate to production use, self-drive operation by production staff where required, and logistics planning designed to reduce carrier transport costs. We understand production budgets and schedules, and we work to them.

Filming in Hokkaido often means mountain locations, rural areas with no nearby accommodation, pre-dawn call times and severe winter conditions. We arrange early-morning vehicle delivery by carrier truck, on-location transport support, and schedule adjustments as the shoot changes.
